Well I don’t know about you but since Easter is a holiday and a family event it’s easy to indulge in treats all weekend long. Even though we had some smoothies and veggie soup there was also the annual special Easter bread that my mom makes and it’s only a special treat once a year.
This time of year also oozes rebirth and new growth so it’s the perfect time for a detox or cleanse if you were planning on one.
The good news is that there are no fancy ingredients…eat fruits and veggies for five days. Plain and simple! You don’t need stimulants and laxatives in order to detox. Drink water and eat the fruits and veggies raw or cooked but don’t fret…keep it simple.
You can even try a mono-meal such as one fruit for the whole meal…think a nice juicy melon or watermelon or two or three bananas. Honestly…simple is good. Reset your taste buds and your cravings.
Detox is a natural process and the cleaner you eat the more you detox. Your body knows what to do and it will take care of the rest. You don’t need any magic box of interesting sounding stuff.
